Self-portrait

Objectives:

Students will be able to:

· Experiment with a variety of techniques to create a self-portrait

· Use four different techniques to create different self-portraits for specific purposes

Materials/Resources:

Photoshop program

Handouts – assignment packet,

Criteria:

• Work can be abstract, realistic or non-objective and must convey the theme of the music for the cd

• photography can be used in a variety of ways

• Use all tools in the toolbox demonstrated so far to create an image

• Use variations of all the tools such as: opacity, brush options, angles, sizes, etc. – words can be split up on to various layers to help convey meaning

• Be inventive – imaginative – have the image

• Title your work

• Print, sign and present your image for critique
