The Space Scene

Objectives:

Students will be able to:

· Use all the tools in the toolbox that have been introduced so far

· Use the elements and principles of design to create a dynamic composition using Space as Subject Matter

· Develop personal meaning in their space scene

Materials/Resources:

Photoshop program

Handouts

Criteria:

• Use all tools in the toolbox demonstrated to far to create a dynamic space scene infused with personal composition

• Use ONLY what we have learned in class so far [DO NOT use other parts of the program even if you know how – your work will not be accepted]

• Use variations of all the tools such as: opacity, brush options, angles, sizes, etc.

• Use the marquee tools, gradient fills and blending mode

• Create a feeling of deep space and real depth

• Be inventive – imaginative – and really consider what you are doing and what it will look like.

• Title your work

• Print, sign and present your image for critique
