World Civilizations
Grade: 9 (One Credit)
This course is devoted to the study of World Civilization in order to trace the roots of our society and analyze the changes that have taken place in four aspects of that culture: economics, politics, social organization, and patterns of thought.
This study devotes itself to an in-depth examination of classical Europe, Africa, India, and China, analyzing each society.
Through this course students will not only be called upon to become proficient in the use of the tools of the social scientist, but will also be given ample opportunity to discuss and clarify their values in the light of historical and contemporary value systems.
