Peace Corps - www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship.
The Mission of the Peace Corps: To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women. To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served. To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.

US Marines

The Marine Corps lifestyle is about as far from a 9-to-5 job as one could imagine, with travel, adventure, and opportunities for advancement and leadership not often found in the private sector.
In many duty assignments, Marines have regular work hours and regular time off, starting with 30 days of paid vacation per year. Marines also receive a host of other benefits, including free on-base housing, full medical benefits, free- or low-cost educational opportunities, and more, from a grateful nation.
