Letter to the Parents of the Class of 2011

April 26, 2010

Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2011:

We invite you to attend a Project Graduation 2010 meeting on Tuesday, May 11th at 7:00 pm in the Montville High School Cafeteria.  Project Graduation is a drug-free, alcohol-free celebration that follows the commencement exercises in June.  It is organized entirely by parents of the graduation class.  This meeting will provide you with an opportunity to find out what goes into planning the party and help get you started on Project Graduation 2011.  Trust us, It is not too early to begin!

It has been a tradition for the parents of the junior class to assist during the late afternoon and early evening of the party so that parents of the seniors are able to attend graduation.  There are a number of areas where help is needed.  These include putting the final touches on the decorations, picking up food and delivering it to the site, manning the locker rooms at the high school while students change, and setting up refreshment tables.  None of these tasks take a great deal of time and those who have helped out in previous years have had a lot of fun!  We hope to have your support.

We look forward to seeing you on May 11th.  If you are interested in helping out, or in learning more about Project Graduation, but cannot make the meeting, please call either Al Lyman or Karen Lyman @ 823-3078.

Sincerely,

Project Graduation 2010 Co-Chairs

Al Lyman  &       Karen Lyman

Letter to the Parents of the Class of 2010

Welcome to your student's senior year at Montville High School!

Continuing with the tradition of our previous graduating classes, parents of the Class of 2010 are planning the post-graduation event known as "Project Graduation." It is an all-night, chaperoned, alcohol and drug free party that takes place at an undisclosed location immediately following the graduation ceremony. The class of 2010 is provided with food, entertainment, sports and swimming - not to mention memories that will last a lifetime! All this fun with the peace of mind that your child will be save and having a night they will not soon forget.

This year we will be inviting you to participate in fundraiser's that will be fun and raise money for this celebration. We will be having Tag Sales at Fair Oaks School, as well as, a Wine Tasting - More details to follow. In addition, we are asking each household to donate $60.00 in support of this event. Of course, we will gladly accept donations from grandparents, relatives, and friends to further help defray the cost of the party. Every dollar raised and donated goes directly towards the cost of the party.

We will be having our first meeting on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 7PM in the high school cafeteria, where we will elect officers and discuss any other ideas you might have - for fundraising.

thank you in advance for making the event a success for the Class of 2010 and we look forward to seeing you on the 15th and at future events.
