Step 1. 7th & 8th Grade Log in with your first initial last name and use your password

Name: first initial last name

(some people need their first and second initial)

Password: Your student id #

Example John Smith would be jsmith

Your password is your student ID which begins with 150..... OR 160----

6th Graders must log in using your whole first name then a period, then your last name, it should look like this:

john.smith

Your password is your student ID starts with: 170____

The first time you log in you must do this:

Go to GO on the top menu
Click on the Applications Folder
Scroll down till you find Microsoft Office 2008
Double click on it.

Scroll till you see the W

Drag it to your dock on the bottom or your screen

Double click on it.

The first time you will have to press continue. (and wait)
Press continue again,

Press contine again,
Press Finish

When you get to the update screen select Manual.
Click the red button on the top left of the window to close it. OR hold down the apple key and the W key on the key board at the same time.

That will close your window.

Now double click on the W that you draged to the dock.

That will open Word. Next time all you have to do is double click on the W which lives on your dock.
